People often pick up a sachet of our salt at the market, then ask us the same question: "So what do I actually do with it?" The good news is that flavoured salt is the easiest thing in your pantry. Use it just like ordinary salt: add it while you cook, sprinkle it on at the table as a finishing salt, or both. It's entirely up to you.
10 easy ways to use flavoured salt
- Eggs. Fried, poached or scrambled. Smoked Chilli Salt or Beetroot & Dill are our breakfast favourites.
- Avocado toast. A pinch of Chilli & Finger Lime Salt and a squeeze of lemon.
- Roast veggies. Toss potatoes or pumpkin in oil and Smoked Rock Salt or Porcini Salt, then roast.
- Beef or lamb. Once you've sealed your chosen cut, add Smoked Chilli & Garlic Salt or Porcini Salt.
- Fish and prawns. Bush Lemon Salt was made for seafood.
- Caprese salad. Sliced tomatoes, fresh mozzarella or bocconcini, basil leaves, a drizzle of good olive oil and a pinch of Balsamic Salt.
- Popcorn. Melt a little butter, toss through, then add Smoked Chilli & Garlic Salt.
- Corn on the cob. Butter and Smoked Jalapeño & Garlic Salt for a taste of Mexico.
- Fresh fruit. Try watermelon, mango or pineapple with a light pinch of a chilli salt. Sweet, salty and a little warm.
- Drink rims. Rub a lime wedge around the glass and dip it in Bush Lemon or Chilli & Finger Lime Salt for margaritas and Bloody Marys, or Juniper Salt for a gin cocktail.
Perfect with any cuisine

Steamed dumplings with a little dish of our Hot Chilli Sauce for dipping and a pinch of Smoked Chilli Salt on the side. Dip, sprinkle, repeat.
How much to use
Start with a small pinch and taste. Our salts are full of flavour, so a little goes a long way.
Keeping it fresh
Salt loves to soak up moisture. Keep sachets zipped and shakers closed, in a cool dry cupboard away from the kettle and stove, and they'll stay free-flowing.
"These salts go with anything! I put them on my cornflakes!"
